Research & Development - PsyData
PsyData is an extensive and powerful relational database generated by CCNR using a comprehensive suite of technologies to analyse genes, proteins and metabolites in tissue samples from the BioBank.
At present, the database contains proprietary data from a comprehensive study of 150 post mortem brains from schizophrenic, bipolar and control subjects, generated over 3 years. PsyData contains data on sensitive biomarkers specific to schizophrenia and bipolar affective disorder in the brain and work is now underway to identify counterparts in more accessible peripheral tissues and biofluids.
