Psynova Neurotech is a development company with a close working relationship with its academic partners, the Cambridge Centre for Neuropsychiatric Research (CCNR) and The Institute of Biotechnology (IOB), both of which will undertake biomarker discovery and development projects on behalf of Psynova Neurotech and its partners.
The exclusive licensee of relevant intellectual property (IP) created by the Dr. Bahn and Professor Lowe teams, Psynova Neurotech has exclusive commercial access to the PsyData database. The Company also has an IP framework agreement with Cambridge University that provides an option to license future IP created by Dr Bahn and her team.
Going forward Psynova Neurotech will realise value from its portfolio of biomarkers by developing its own diagnostic products (proof of principle will be achieved internally and subsequent product development will be out-sourced) and validating the biomarkers (this will require clinical studies, some of which may be done collaboratively with partners).
Psynova Neurotech also plans to develop proprietary high-throughput systems (based on normalisation of biomarker signatures) to undertake drug discovery programmes utilising chemical libraries (either bought in or accessed through partners). The drug discovery programmes will be accelerated by in-licensing of therapeutic lead compounds, where appropriate.
